As we continue to navigate the landscape of pharmaceutical distribution and trading, I want to highlight three core elements that are crucial to our sustained success: focus on targets, a strong command of our numbers, and unwavering discipline.

read moreIn our industry, where precision and timeliness can directly impact patient care, targets are not just performance goals—they are commitments. Each delivery, every fulfilled order, and all service metrics contribute to a larger promise we make to our clients and the healthcare systems we support.

Understanding our numbers—from sales figures and stock turnover rates to delivery timelines and compliance scores—is not just a reporting exercise. It is the lens through which we evaluate our effectiveness, identify growth opportunities, and ensure operational excellence.

But none of this is possible without discipline. Discipline in execution, communication, and follow-through is what transforms strategy into results. Whether it's adhering to revenue and profitability, creditors, SOP’s, maintaining cold-chain integrity, or meeting daily KPI’s, consistency is what defines high-performing teams.

I am also glad to notice that we have finally understood the importance of marketing the brand Pharma.mt and not just the brands we represent. This is also reflected in changes we have made to the sales team, where medical reps will now be known as Pharma.mt reps, as opposed to representing the individual brands. It is Pharma.mt, after all, that makes all the investments and drives the brands forward.

Let us continue to raise the bar. By aligning around clear targets, making data-driven decisions, and operating with professional discipline, we can ensure that Pharma MT meets expectations and sets new standards in pharmaceutical distribution.

Thank you for your continued commitment and hard work.

With focus and determination,

As we focus on our core values, innovation remains a key pillar that will ensure our company's vitality and long-term success. Whether it’s the launch of new products and brands—where speed and being first to market is crucial—or the ongoing digitization of all aspects of our business, innovation keeps us ahead in a competitive and rapidly evolving landscape.

read moreOver the past few months, we have embarked on an inspiring journey, travelling to seek innovation, strengthen supplier relationships, and learn from similar businesses across neighbouring countries. Our visits have taken us to Aboca in Italy, SVR in France, Medical Cannabis Berlin, Clonmel in Ireland, Cyprus, and London. These experiences are testament to our relentless pursuit of fresh ideas, forging global partnerships, and staying at the forefront of industry developments. We are also striving to go more global.

We look forward to sharing some memorable moments from these trips.

Another key pillar is Strategic planning, which is vital in this journey. Our ability to adapt and embrace change is essential in today's highly competitive and dynamic market. We can enhance productivity and efficiency by leveraging technological innovations, unlocking new growth opportunities.

Trusting Tessa to oversee daily operations, has freed both myself and Patrick allowing us to focus more on strategic thinking, innovation, leadership development, and succession planning. It’s never too early to start planning for the future—this proactive approach will support our long-term survival and prosperity.

Our commitment to investing in training and development is more critical than ever. Filling skills gaps and empowering our teams will add value to our business and help us meet our targets consistently. Relentless resilience, discipline and a proactive mindset are key to securing our success and ensuring our longevity.

We must challenge ourselves to step out of our comfort zone, avoid complacency, and take calculated risks. Only then can we grow, differentiate ourselves from competitors, and truly innovate.

Finally, building a culture of empowerment and accountability remains a key priority. By fostering teams we trust to produce results, we reinforce a foundation of shared responsibility and continuous improvement.

Together, with our strategic focus, innovative mindset, and dedicated team, we are poised to meet the challenges ahead, continue to thrive, and not only achieve but surpass our targets.

Logistics and Regulatory

We’re pleased to share that our recent GMP inspection went very well!

This success is a direct result of the hard work, dedication, and commitment shown by the entire Stores and Regulatory team. Thanks to their collective efforts and support, we navigated the process smoothly and demonstrated the high standards we uphold every day. A big thank you to everyone involved—you made this achievement possible!

read moreWe’d like to recognize and sincerely thank our incredible team down in stores for their hard work and dedication in the lead-up to our recent audit. In preparation, the team successfully processed an impressive 75 pallets which had to be transferred to our secondary storage facility, a major accomplishment that required focus, coordination, and commitment from everyone involved.

This achievement not only ensured we were fully prepared, but also demonstrated the strength of our team when we come together toward a common goal. Your efforts did not go unnoticed, and we are proud to celebrate this success with all of you. Thank you for your continued excellence and for going above and beyond when it mattered most.

Finance

Earlier this year, we started seeing some challenges in debt collection. Pressure from management and directors began to build up, and to sleep better during the night, we had to find a solution to tackle this problem.

read moreIn late March, we started having short meetings every couple of days, discussing progress and brainstorming how best to tackle it. We had a target of recovering 400k out of 700k overdue debtors by mid-April.

With the help of Sales reps and guidance from management, we smashed this target, and collected 460k by 15th April, and after reaching this target, we challenged ourselves even more and made it a point that by month end, we recover another 250k.

By the end of the month, we had recovered 650k overdue debtors. It was a big push, but it was possible with teamwork and cooperation by everyone involved. Additionally, this target was reached without closing any accounts or interfering with sales.

The challenge is not over yet, and to keep up with debtors, we need to continue pushing like this in the coming months.

Thank you to everyone who helped in reaching these targets.

Marketing

There's no stopping our marketing crew! Jean and Safaa, our dynamic new duo, have hit the ground running. Besides mastering the ropes here at Pharma.mt, they've taken their commitment to the next level by enrolling in graphic design courses at ICE Malta. Training during the day and studying by night—talk about dedication! It's clear these two are seriously invested in their futures and ours.

read moreAnd let's not forget Ali, our very own globe-trotting AI enthusiast! He’s been making waves, attending cutting-edge conferences on Artificial Intelligence both locally and abroad. Most recently, he represented Pharma.mt at a major event in London, mingling with marketing leaders from pharma giants such as Biogen, GSK, Merck, AstraZeneca, and Bayer. The topic on everyone's mind? Ethical and legal ways to promote pharmaceutical products on social media. Ali’s insights promise to keep Pharma.mt ahead of the curve.

Finally, a gentle reminder (with a smile, of course) on the spelling of our beloved company name. What does it mean when someone cannot spell their own name? Don't you feel like telling Jeff, Jeffry, Jeffy, Jeffery, Jefferey, Jeffory, Jefrie, Geoff, Geoffrey, Jeffeory, Geffrey, Jefferson or Jeffro to make up their minds? So let's keep it "Pharma.mt"—not Pharma MT, Pharma.MT, or any other creative interpretations. After all, consistency builds trust, and as Jeffo will tell you, trust is what we're all about!

Closing statement from the GM

I’ve been thinking lately what really keeps us going – especially on the tough days, the long weeks, or those moments when the coffee just isn’t strong enough.

read moreFor me, it always comes back to OUR VALUES.  Not the kind you stick in a frame and forget about – the kind we live.  Every email, every minute, every meeting, every decision.

RESPECT means seeing each other.  Really seeing each other – who we are, what we bring, and what we might be going through.

RESILIENCE isn’t about being bulletproof.  It’s about showing up, even when it’s hard.  And picking each other up when we need it most.

INNOVATION is in all the small things.  A new idea, a smarter way, a brave suggestion.  It’s how we keep growing.

And being a TEAM player means knowing we in this together.  It’s helping out when someone’s under pressure, sharing ideas, and celebrating wins as a team – not just as individuals.  It’d doing our best work even when no one is watching. The perfect example of teamwork and team spirit in action was our Team Building event that we did a month ago. We started as 6 individual teams, by the end we realized something powerful: we needed every single team to get through the stages to reach the final line.  No team could do it alone -  we had to pull together and share and become one.

That’s what we’re made of:

We are Pharma.mt
